Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see couples, families or children? Nope! For now I am only providing individual psychotherapy for adults aged 18+
Do you only work with clients who identify as women? Not exclusively. While my practice specializes in supporting women’s mental health, I welcome clients of diverse identities and backgrounds. My approach is grounded in a trauma-, nervous system-, and hormone-informed perspective, with particular focus on experiences that commonly impact women across the lifespan. At the same time, it is important that I practice within my professional scope and areas of competence. Because each person’s experiences and needs are unique, there may be times when another therapist’s training, specialization, or lived experience would be better aligned with the support you are seeking. If we determine that another provider may be a more appropriate fit, I will do my best to offer referrals or direction toward additional supports. If you have any questions about whether my approach may be a good fit for your needs, you are welcome to reach out to book a free 20-minute consultation.
What if my concerns have nothing to do with my cycle, or I don't have one? Ebb & Flow is for all women – you are more than welcome to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation to see if I am a good fit for your needs. My passion is providing women with highly-tailored mental healthcare – for women who menstruate, this can mean integrating their cycle into their therapy experience. For women who do not wish to have this approach woven into their therapy plan, you can still expect to receive a therapeutic service that is trauma-informed, tailored to your needs, and passionately provided.
How do I know if virtual therapy is right for me? Psychotherapy delivered via virtual means has shown to be equally as effective as in-person psychotherapy for most presenting concerns. For many clients, it offers a convenient, accessible and flexible alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar therapy, often for a lesser cost than in-person alternatives. Plus, you can stay in your pajamas and any day can be bring-your-cat-to therapy day if you want it to be. Great! However, it is not the best option for everyone, including those who are struggling with severe psychiatric illnesses (including addiction), active suicidality, or other conditions in which receiving therapy services from a distance may be compromising to your wellbeing. Other factors such as your ability to orient to a computer screen, the strength of your internet connection and the availability of a private space for you to access during sessions are also important to consider. If you're still unsure if virtual therapy is the best option for your specific needs, please feel free to reach out today for a free 20-minute consultation call!
What are your session rates & do you offer sliding-scale? ~Virtual Individual Therapy Session (50mins): $111 ~Extended Virtual Therapy Session (75mins): $144 ~Brief/ Check-In Virtual Therapy Session (30mins): $66 Sliding Scale Rates are available: I recognize that financial circumstances can sometimes create barriers to accessing mental health support. Psychotherapy services are covered under many health benefit plans; I am currently designated as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in the province of Ontario and am receiving ongoing clinical supervision from a Registered Psychotherapist; please check with your individual provider to ensure that coverage for therapy performed under the RP or RP (Qualifying) designations is accepted prior to booking.

What can I expect from a free 20-minute consultation with you? The relationship that develops between a person and their therapist is *very* important, and at Ebb & Flow, it is placed on the high pedestal it deserves. I occupy only one small corner of the psychotherapy field, and there are many other passionate, educated and dedicated therapists out there who may be a better fit for you - I am happy to point you in their direction if needed!
